1. Scope and Introduction

Welcome to Owllet. This Privacy Policy details the handling of data across the Owllet promotional website (owllet.app) and the Owllet mobile application (collectively, the "Services"). Owllet is developed and maintained by the Owllet Team. By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

2. Self-Custodial Architecture & Seed Phrases

Owllet is a non-custodial / self-custodial wallet for the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Your recovery seed phrases, private keys, and passcodes are generated locally on your device and are never sent to our servers or shared with any third party.

These cryptographic keys are stored securely using device-level hardware encryption (the **Secure Enclave** on iOS and **Keystore** on Android). We do not have access to, and cannot recover, your recovery phrase, password, or private keys. You are solely responsible for backing up your credentials.

3. Personal and Financial Data Handling

We believe in data minimization. Owllet does not require user accounts, email registrations, or verification profiles. Consequently, we collect, harvest, and retain:

• **No personal information** (such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical locations).
• **No login credentials** or identity profiles.
• **No transaction history or balances** on our own servers. Your transaction history is retrieved directly from the decentralized, public XRP Ledger blockchain.
• **No analytics or telemetry data** (we do not use tracking SDKs such as Sentry, Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, or Mixpanel).

4. On-Device AI Engine & Processing

Owllet features local, on-device AI-powered market analysis insights using GGUF model files and `llama.rn` integration. When you ask the AI bot to analyze market conditions or your local portfolio metrics, all calculations, token metrics, and prompts are processed **locally on your device's processors**. No prompt histories, queries, or wallet metrics are ever transmitted to our servers or external AI services for core operations.

5. Optional Cloud AI Integration

Users can optionally connect their own OpenAI-compatible cloud provider under the **Settings → LLM Integration** menu. If you opt-in to this feature and provide your own API key and endpoint, your prompt queries will be transmitted directly from your device to your configured provider. We do not intermediate, monitor, store, or log these third-party connections. Your API keys are encrypted and stored locally in the secure keystore.

6. XRP Ledger (XRPL) & Blockchain Transactions

The XRP Ledger is a public, decentralized ledger. When you broadcast a signed transaction (such as sending XRP or tokens, adding AMM liquidity, or placing order offers), the details (including sender/receiver addresses, asset types, amounts, and transaction timing) are public by design. These transactions are permanently recorded on-ledger and can be inspected by anyone using XRPL block explorers.

7. Third-Party Node Connections

To query blockchain data (e.g., balance updates, order books) and submit transactions, Owllet connects directly to public or standard XRP Ledger API nodes. When the app queries these public nodes, the node operators may see standard network request details, including your device's IP address. Please consult the privacy policies of public XRPL node operators (such as Ripple, XRPL Labs, or others) for their respective log-retention practices.

8. Data Retention, Request and Deletion

Because Owllet collects and stores no personal user data or keys on its servers, there is no database of user information to modify, access, or delete.

All local data, settings, saved tokens, and secure keychains reside exclusively on your physical device. You can permanently delete all local data, settings, and secure keys by **uninstalling the Owllet application** from your device.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date". We encourage you to review this page periodically to remain informed of our privacy practices.
